Imagine that a police officer was approaching you to ask you a question, and you didn't hear or notice him or her, and they thought you had. You reach down into your pocket to pull out your black wallet or any other object that could resemble a gun, completely unaware of the approaching officer. There are two possible scenarios now; the first one is that the officer pulls his or her gun, shoots you, either killing you, paralyzing you, or putting you in great pain for a long time to come.
