Summary: This anarchic, dark movie exposes Igby, a sixteen year old in the time of his `mid-teen crisis' confronted with a dying mother and a stuck-up older brother. To escape the orbit of natural routine Igby flees from boot camp after being kicked out of school on numerous occasions.
IGBY, A LOST SOUL DROWNED IN THE OCEAN OF BLANKNESS

This anarchic, dark movie exposes Igby, a sixteen year old in the time of his `mid-teen crisis' confronted with a dying mother and a stuck-up older brother. To escape the orbit of natural routine Igby flees from boot camp after being kicked out of school on numerous occasions.

Igby seems to be most akin to a punk, only that his music and dressing style do not correspond to that of a punk. He is a rebel defying the trend of an average teenager. The movie gives a clear view of the world through his eyes.

After Igby experiences his various school expulsions, he flees to commence the life of a lost New Yorker soul, losing himself in the Big Apple like a worm. Igby's mid-teen crisis makes him run. Run from what is known to be a `normal'...
