Last Saturday, August 13, 2005, the two well-known athletics associations of universities and colleges here in the Philippines played rigorously against one another in the 2005 Bantay Bata 163 All-Star games wherein the proceeds were to help needy children. It was held at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, more popularly known as The Big Dome, from 1:00 in the afternoon to about 7:00 in the evening. This was nothing new, especially to the avid fans, considering t hat it has been taking place for years. During the last season, the NCAA teams succumbed to their UAAP counterparts. This time, the NCAA teams believed that it was their time to win and to show pride in their game; basketball.
