Summary: A short history of the rickshaw is compared to american taxi's
People in many countries live in crowded cities. America has many metropolitan cities, almost one three per state. In these cities it is hard to travel around with the enormous amount of people and a slim number of transportation vehicles. In the United States people in many cities get from place to place by walking, but the next form is by taxies. Taxies serve as the one of the largest forms of transportation. It is common for people to share taxies or cabs when they ride them because car are very scarce and most people who live in the cities do not have one.

In other countries and cultures people have other forms of transportation that they use to get around town with. In the Chinese culture they have rickshaws. Rickshaws were first introduced to the Chinese culture from traders in the 19th century and were popularized by...
