Summary: Facts and figures about the Amazon River Basin rainforest of South American. The tremendous biodiversity found in this region is under threat from human developers and must be preserved.
The Amazon rainforest has been a symbol of mystery and a power between people and nature and also cures waiting to be discovered. The Amazon rainforest are homes to animals and plants that made homes in the rainforest. But when people, strangers to the Amazon natives, come along and take their land, we take away the homes of animals and cures for the diseases. When this happens, it causes extinction of many plants and animals.

So we have to stop these people from all over the world from destroying home to people, cures, and animals.

The Amazon rainforest covers billions of acres in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and parts of Ecuador and Peru. If the Amazon was a country is would be the ninth largest country in the world. The Amazon rainforest provides the world with oxygen by recycling carbon dioxide. More than 20% of the world's oxygen is produced...
