The History of Forensic Investigation

Summary: Forensics has been in use to solve crimes since ancient Rome, but doctors and scientists began to take a greater interest in it during the nineteenth century. Many significant forensic discoveries in the 1970s, such as the Automatic Fingerprint Identification System and DNA testing, are still used today. While forensics once focused primarily on blood and anatomy, today more and more evidence is found through the use of computers and other electronic devices.

Forensic Investigation is very important to solving a crime that is being investigated. Proper or improper collection of evidence can either make or break a case, save lives by exonerating someone who is wrongly accused and provide closer to victims and their family. Forensic have been in play since early in the world history, that's why this paper will provide a glance into the history and also enlighten readers on some of the new technologies that are being available and already in use.

The First reported case of forensics being used was in ancient Rome circa 1000 when an attorney,Quintilian, used a bloody hand print to prove that someone was trying to frame the blind man accused of killing his mother.
