Essay

Toronto has a garbage problem. There is no space in the city for it to keep its own garbage and therefore it has to be sent to Michigan. This has negative consequences for the environment. This problem began in 2000 when the garbage was suppose to be sent to an abandoned mine in northern Ontario called Adams Mine near Kirkland Lake. But the government made a law that said it was illegal to dump garbage in any Ontario lake and that is why the garbage is being sent to Michigan.

Toronto should not send its garbage to Michigan because, just like Toronto, Michigan will run out of space to put its own garbage because they are accepting Toronto's garbage and Toronto will have nowhere to put their garbage and this causes a problem that would be very hard to solve.
