A History of Aerosmith

Summary: The history of the classic rock band Aerosmith, from the group's beginnings in 1969 until their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
In 1969 the famous rock group Aerosmith was created, as a combination of Chain Reaction and the Jam Band, but not until 1970 did they make their first public appearance in a high school in Mendon, Massachusetts. The band started in Sunapee, New Hampshire, but moved later that year to Boston Massachusetts where they shared an apartment on Commonwealth Avenue. This was one of their first steps on the road to success.

In 1971, not long after the band came together, Ray Tabano left the band. Guitarist Brad Whitford, who still remains with the band today, soon replaced Ray Tabano. Also, that same year, Frank Connoly and John O'Toole became involved with the band. John O'Toole provided for the band with free practice sessions, while Frank Connoly worked towards making them "a big time act."

1972 was an important year in Aerosmith's history. Vocalist Steven Tallarico changed his name to Steven Tyler...
