The decision on the political issue of whether to legalize marijuana evolved into prominent controversy in the United States. Many argue that Marijuana, a product of cannibal sativa and hemp plant, has been used in Central America for native rituals for thousands of years and in the United States for medical, research, and health purposes. Other's countered adamantly with the negative effects of the drug. This controversy has yet to reach a conclusion, but upon research, people would realize the benefits of legalizing Marijuana. Marijuana should be legalized in the United States for financial and economic issues, medical and research purposes, and crime and violence rate. Ultimately, legalizing marijuana would offer solutions to some other controversial issues facing the American society today.
