As a priest, Monsignor O'Flaherty followed the Bible to the letter. However seeing as he was an Anglo Catholic, he was loyal to the Pope and served him in the holy office at the Vatican for many years. As it turns out, O'Flaherty was a very thoughtful person and relied on his `human reasoning' to solve the majority of his disputes. But to what extent could O'Flaherty coordinate his beliefs? Surely one of his sources of authority had to out weigh the others. This is a look at Monsignor O'Flaherty's understanding of Christian Authority, and how he applied it in a time of crisis.
