Summary: Not only have Americans taken advantage of less fortunate countries, but have created unhealthy working environments. Despite the millions of dollars brought in by American companies because of Asian industries, Asian companies have not followed the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations. Regardless of gender or age, some companies subjected their employees to harsh working conditions, under minimum wage payment, strenuous working hours, and even corporal or physical assault. These "Sweatshops" are still going on today and very little has been done.

America has always been considered to be the breadbasket of the world. In actuality should the people of the United States take the honor in calling themselves that? Many years the American people have found ways to make various products overseas factories without spending a lot of money. The overseas factory employees have gotten the short end of the stick when dealing with the American companies. According to a newspaper journalist in Zhongshan, China: "A factory job would give people living quarters and the temporary-residence permit that migrants need to avoid being locked up by police" (Roberts). Not only have Americans taken advantage of less fortunate countries, but have created unhealthy working environments.
