Summary: It has been widely known that sports and entertainment stars receive special treatment from the general public. To what degree do they also receive special treatment from the judicial system? The fame associated with sports stardom can be double-edged; in many cases the fame of some athletes has given them advantageous treatment in the legal system; while in other cases it has put them in more legal trouble than they might encounter otherwise.
Darryl Strawberry, Rae Carruth, Ray Lewis, Allen Iverson, Leonard Little, Kobe Bryant, Jamal Lewis, and O.J. Simpson; These are all names of athletes that have possibly gotten away from a crime that they committed due to the fact that they are athletic superstars. It has been widely known that stars, both in entertainment and in sports, have gotten special treatment from the general public, but have they gotten special treatment from the judicial system"
