Summary: Explores the history of Great Britain during World War II. Questions if the evacuation of women and children was successful.
Many people interpretation of this statement very differently. I believe that evacuation was a success because the main idea of evacuation was to save lives and after the war had finished it had.

Source A could of been a propaganda photo designed to encourage parents to send their children off to evacuation. This photo is not totally reliable because it is reliable because 800,000 people were evacuated and 150,000 were children under the age of 5 and from a poor family. Also this source is not very reliable because we now that not all children went to off because of evacuation.

Also many people could say that that it is only one picture and that it may be very different in different towns or cities. Also that the children in the photo was told to smile and wave by police, army or even by billeting officers. So we can say that...
