Summary: Explores the history of the Ku Klux Klan, or KKK. Describes its origins and growth in turn of the century America. Examines is distorted world view.
Many people view the Ku Klux Klan, or KKK, as a group of people who are extremely racist against the African American race. As I researched this terrorist group I found that they are much more than that. I learned how they view themselves, how they are viewed and affect society, how it was started, and a few of the mind blowing reasons that the members of the KKK feel that they are right it their way of thinking.

In 1866 and at the end of the Civil War when all the slaves were being freed, the very first Klan was started in Pulaski, Tennessee. Soon this small group turned into several very large Klan's that spread widely throughout the US.
