Our task for the play "Our Day Out" was to use the elements of drama to communicate our interpretation of the extract to an audience. We were to do this in groups of approximately eight people and we were given an extract which included four scenes which were:

scene 38- the fairground scene

scene 39- getting on the coach

scene 40- on the way back home

scene 41- back outside school

During these four scenes we focus the main characters: Mr Briggs, Mrs Kay, Riley, Carol and Linda. We also see many other students from the remedial class who are also on the trip. The first scene is focused at the fairground where Mr Briggs is very cheerful and relaxed, and is even having fun. The kids are taking him on rides and playing with him.
