Poetry has many different subjects and structures. When looked up in a dictionary you might find the definition for poetry as being a "literary composition written in verse with meaning", but to me poetry is much more then words. Emily Dickinson said, "If I read a book and it makes my body so cold no fire ever can warm me, I know that is poetry." I think she meant that poetry has the capability of making a person feel stronger emotions then ever thought. Poetry is a way of expressing your deepest feelings and innermost thoughts. It has the power to make you feel many different ways.
