Summary: Americans seem to go about their daily lives even though there is a lot of fighting, rapes, and many other misfortunes that continue to happen every second of every day. I will explain how Americans are a lot alike Ursula K. Le Guin's " The One Who Walk away From Omelas."

Americans seem to go about their daily lives even though there is a lot of fighting, rapes, and many other misfortunes that continue to happen every second of every day. I will explain how Americans are a lot alike Ursula K. Le Guin's " The One Who Walk away From Omelas." I will show how the people of Omelas and the boy locked away in the dark symbolizes how people live in today's modern America. I will do this by first comparing the people of the Omelas to your average American and then explain how the boy who is locked in the room symbolizes the problems that are within America.

We, as citizens of the US, are very much like the people of Omelas. We like to live happy lives and not worry about what difficulties others have and tend not to worry about all the horrible things going...
