The Strength of Hope

Summary: The word hope is pure and light. It escapes one's lips with simplicity but deepness. It is a word created just for humankind. With only 4 letters that composes it, it is still able to fill the heart with warmth and assurance.
In Emily Dickinson's famous poem, ""Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul - and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all." Hope is a desire for something to happen, while expecting or being confident that it will come true (Wikipedia). It is light and pure, that comes with strength. It does not ask for anything, but gives everything in return. It never deserts us, but we desert it. Hope is the only good thing that Pandora let out. It is not only an emotion but also a way of thinking. It is believing that "I will be okay, despite what I'm going through right now." It is also having one who will remind another that the world isn't so dark and cynical a place as they've made it out to be. Hope is the emotional basis for humanity's existence...
