The Necessity of Dropping the Atomic Bomb During World War II

Summary: An argument in favor of the legitimacy of dropping the two atomic bombs on Japan during World War II, supported by facts.
I believe that it was necessary and vital for the United States to drop the atomic bomb on Nagasaki and Hiroshima based on several facts and reasons. The code of Bushido, "the way of the warrior", was an ancient code that all Japanese soldiers lived by. All soldier were to follow this code, regardless of what they think, and if not followed correctly, soldiers would be dishonored and disrespected. One of the basic rules of the Bushido code is never surrendering, which was evident in the Kamikaze planes. This would make the US's goal of unconditional surrender nearly impossible, due to the Japanese never surrendering.

The US was had only had four options to defeat the Japanese. The most obvious option was the use of the atomic bomb. Another one of the option was to keep up a Naval blockade on Japan, but that would have resulted in...
