Summary: On December 26th, the tsunami hit the coast of Southeast Asia. The earthquake that caused the wave of the tsunami measures up to 9.0 on the Richter scale. In the morning, when all the people in the Southeast Asia slept, movements started down below 10,000 feet in the epicenter. In the oceanic crust, the tectonic plates displaced and created shearing.

On December 26th, the tsunami hit the coast of Southeast Asia. The earthquake that caused the wave of the tsunami measures up to 9.0 on the Richter scale. In the morning, when all the people in the Southeast Asia slept, movements stated down below 10,000 feet in the epicenter. In the oceanic crust, the tectonic plates displaced and created shearing. Thus the commotion lead to a large volume of water being uplifted and turn to created into a wave that travels up to 300 miles per hour, gradually slowing when it reached the shore. However, the speed only inflicted more danger to the wave. At that time, people in the coastal areas were not aware of the terror that were bound to soon enclose them.
