Summary: A personal essay on being true to onesself. Describes the experience of being new to middle school and trying to fit it.
A chunk of my life has involved acting as though I was someone I was not. I was always putting on an act to please some else; trying to be like someone else to fit in. My middle school years were my toughest years because I was trying to find myself.
In middle school I wanted so badly to fit in. I had just moved from my house in Fullerton and moved forty0five minutes away to San Juan Capistrano. Walking through the halls of my new school during break or lunch I was constantly laughed at for being the "new girl."
