Today's society is reliant on electricity to provide essential and nonessential living requirements. Without it, much of the society would be unable to function efficiently. Household power supply is converted from 240 (RMS) mains power to a more practical value of 20 V(RMS), this enables the supply to satisfy the requirements of the home.
