Prince Henry Tudor was born on June 28, 1491. He was the second son of King Henry VII and Elizabeth of York. He would never think he would be King because he has an older brother Arthur. Until the year 1502 when Arthur died and was named Prince of Wales which is first in line to become King of England, which he became on April 21, 1509 when King Henry VII died. Two months after he became he married Catherine of Aragon who the widow of Henry's brother Arthur. It was King Henry VII dying wish that his son would marry the widow of his dead son, so England and Spain would keep an alliance. The marriage took place on June 11, 1509. Soon after the marriage, Catherine became pregnant. This first child was a stillborn daughter born prematurely in January 1510. This was followed by another pregnancy.
