Summary: This is a short story essay of John Stienbeck's "Flight." It Talks about the differences of social classes and how they are treated.
The Flight

The human conditions and consequences of poor citizens and minorities in our community differ from middle class and the first class citizens. First and middle class citizens of our community are able to afford certain things, while the poor citizens and the minorities have to grow up faster than the other classes above it and work to survive and afford certain things that they need for their families. In the short story "Flight", John Steinbeck, the author, clarifies how a poor minority family can easily be charged for an action and not be tried equally with the same rights and privileges as their fellow upper class citizens. The Torres family lives in Monterey and Pepe Torres, the eldest son of the Torres family, experienced racial a1ong with social class ranking discrimination.
