Violence in Our Entertainment

Summary: Violence in our various forms of entertainment negatively affects today's world. The amount of violence in entertainment today, whether found in television, movies, music videos, or video games, can lead to children becoming desensitized to violence and its hurtful impact on people. There must be strict limits on violence in entertainment media, and parents should stop their children's access to violent music, movies, and television.
What exactly is entertainment? First of all, entertainment is television, movies, music, Broadway plays, and video games. There are a number of things that make entertainment exciting; such as comedy, horror, romance, thrill, and suspense. Entertainment is all around us. When we are in our cars, we listen to music. We come from school and work, and watch television. On the weekends, we go to the movies and attend concerts once in a while. Many teenagers spend countless hours in front of the computer playing internet games. Children as young as five years old are addicted to video games. As you can see, we are influenced by entertainment in many ways. However, the most important factor that Hollywood uses to attract audiences is, unfortunately -- violence.
