INTRODUCTION

Complaints are becoming commonplace on the Internet regarding America Online (AOL) and it's users. Every day it seems that another user is unsatisfied or even suing the potential Internet Service Provider (ISP) giant for false billing on a product that was never purchased.

Complaints have reached an all-new height where web pages are being designed only for complaints and hatred towards AOL. An example of a web site is www.aolsucks.org that degrades the provider and issues newsletters for the public to read complaints. Does the number one ISP deserve such treatment? "Most definitely, monopolies start out this way." Explains Charlie a Frostburg State University student. Charlie expresses his honest opinion through his four years of experience with the ISP. He recently ended his membership due to costs and user capabilities.
