Summary: In the story "Celebration", poor / low self-esteem is the main issue. Through reading the story, it can be deducted that the main characters have showed that not only do they have low self-esteem but they have lowered each others as well. Mabel and Eric are the two main characters in the story portraying self-esteem issues.
In the story "celebration", poor/low self-esteem is the main issue. Through reading the story, it can be deducted that the main characters have showed that not only do they have low self-esteem but they have lowered each others as well. They both are aware of their current situation but only one of the characters has done something about it. Although, this action is not positive and the character who has done it, feels no remorse in the end towards the other character but feels guilty about another situation he has put himself in.

Mabel and Eric are the two main characters in the story portraying self-esteem issues. Throughout the story, they are constantly bickering back and forth between themselves, hitting each other with facts about the other that are true yet startling.
