In this essay, I am going to analyze the character of Captain Jack Sparrow and write about how filmmakers use different presentational devices to create a character that is both a villain and a hero.
In a traditional pirate story, the pirates are usually the villains and are more often than not searching for some sort of buried treasure. A traditional pirate might be seen with a peg leg, a patch eye, a hook, and a parrot on his shoulder. They are almost always unclean, and very rude and vulgar.
