Many people question whether John Brown was a ruthless murderer or a martyr trying to make the world to be a better place. Many points can be said for either case but Brown's being a martyr is more predominant. He did all of his actions in "The Pottawatomie Massacre" and at Harpers Ferry were all done for the just reason of freeing black slaves and having everyman of any color be free the United States.

John Brown had been called many things in his day but the newest and well known was said by a historian when he said that he was "a man made of the stuff of saints." This quote means that Brown's actions, although sometimes brutal, were only for the common good of man kind. Along with that, Brown believed that he had been sent by god to rid the country of slavery...
