America's society today is filled with exuberance but that is only because individuals have the availability of choosing which religion they want to participate in. Today's society is one that is filled with diversity which distinguishes it from any other society in the world. If one juxtaposed one religion with another, they would definitely find that each one differs substantially from another and the values and morals that go along with them are even more exotic. A uniform religious identity is detrimental to society because it disregards religious freedom and substantially decreases individuality.

Joining a society that is focused on preaching only one religion puts a lot of pressure on the individual. By this I mean that, a society that is embedded in one religious identity doesn't give the individual any freedom to choose what he or she would like to participate in.
