The novel `Gracey' written by James Moloney illustrates different people have different perspectives. He uses three characters (Gracey, Dougy, and Trent) to tell us the story by their own perspectives, and also reveals the characters' backgrounds' attitudes and personalities.

The main character Gracey changes her perspectives more than any of others throughout the story. In the beginning of the novel, Gracey has a negative attitude towards Cunningham, Dougy and even her Aboriginality.

From the passage "If I have got a home now, it's Hamilton College, Brisbane, thousand kilometres away from here", we would know that Gracey dislike Cunningham and consider her school to be her home.

And referring to the speech between Gracey tells Angela about her relationship with Dougy. "He's different, I'm different. We just don't have much in common any more. What can you expect after so much time apart"" This was because Gracey thinks Dougy...
