A Biography of King Henry VII

Summary: Describes the life of British King Henry VII. Discusses his family, childhood and ascent to power.
This essay is to inform you of a very famous king, Henry VII.

King Henry was born on June 28, 1491. He was born to father, Henry VII and mother, Elizabeth of York. Henry was their second son and had alot of the children in my day would love to have. Henry had things like a boy who was punished for the wrong things the Henry did, he also had people called servants who did every thing he asked of them to do. Henry VII was styled Duke of Youk as a child by his mother and father.

Henry was a child that always wanted to be entertained, therfore, his mother and father made that possible for him. They got jesters, acrobats, musicians and magicians to entertain Henry so that he would be satisfied. As a child he love to listen to music and later began to learn how to play different instruments like, the fife, the viola, the harp, and he even learned to play the drums. Henry also grew up to be an accomplished musician. It is also said that he did not write the song titled "greensleeves."

Henry also had an older brother named Arthur who was married to a Spanish princess, Catherine of Argon. He was married at the age of 15. At his wedding he had a joyful time as he danced and broughtthe party to life, but as a few months passed he later died. Many historiand believe that he died of tuberculosis, some even say that he may have had plague or sweating sickness.

Henry was now heir to the throne, henry was allowed to see few people and was guarded at all times. in fear of his fathers temper he kept his exuberant personality under control. Henry was said to be very handsome and tall as a teen. His father gave him very little training as a teen to become the king. Henry began to rely heavily on his counselor in the early stages of his reign.

In 1509 Henry VII was pronounced deceased. It was said that he also died of tuberculosis. Later his son became King Henry VIII. He was 17 when he died.
