Some scientists say that social intelligence is more important than intelligence.

People who have team spirit are people who have intelligence. Without intelligence you cannot be efficient enough to have a job. Hard work comes from learning, people with intelligence can adapt quicker to newer things.

When we are little, in school, we are graded on effort. As we progress on we are more, and more graded on intelligence. When we reach a certain level social interaction is not a grade, intelligence is. As we grow up we learn that if we want a good grade we must study and work hard to get our grade.

The government must think that School is made for children to learn. If the government thought that teamwork was more important than intelligence, why wouldn't they make sports a requirement and not an elective? Instead they make each aspect of knowledge a requirement such as, English and Math.

Group projects in school are mostly a one person project. People group up around the smartest person and let them do all of the work.

If someone was being interviewed for a job, would the people hiring him choose someone with a Harvard degree or someone with social skills? The person with the degree has the right to the job. It shows his intelligence and that they can things needed for the job. In most jobs today, you are not asked to interact with other people. Many people have jobs in a cubical, punching numbers all day.

In conclusion, to say that intelligence is not as important as social intelligence in the real world to get success is wrong. By having social intelligence you must have some level of intelligence. Without first getting intelligence you can not attain a job.
