Summary: Presents an analysis about the poem "The Fish."
Elizabeth Bishop is one of the many poets well-known for her use of imagery and her ability to convey the narrator's emotions to the reader. Her poetry is filled with descriptions of her travels and scenery, which surrounded her. She focused mainly on her impression of the physical world. In the poem " The Fish", the reader is expose to a story where the use of language not only draws the readers into the narrative account but also causes the audiences' to be a part of the story, both emotionally and mentally. Bishop uses symbols, descriptive language and similes in the poem to draw the readers into the scenery of the newly caught fish.
