Summary: Essay provides an analysis of the book "Anthem" by Ayn Rand.
Anthem is about a collectivist society. What is a collectivist society? It is a society where the rulers think everything must be done as a group. They fear independence and individual thought. This is a very interesting book that really made me think `what if the world was really like that"' A lot of people want everyone to be treated equally. This book gives a preview of what would happen if everyone would be treated the same. Would we want that to happen? I do not think so. This book also brings forth the themes of individualism and the evils of collectivism.

The leaders in Anthem need a way to make their way of ruling right. They do this by telling all the people that independent thought, relationships and not following their rulings, will result in death. These things are a great sin. This is very effective...
