What is black identity in America? In America Black identity is not a good experience. Being of Black background in America means being persecuted and judged and even stereotyped. The people of black identity have been persecuted for many years and to this day they are still persecuted.

In the book The Souls of Black Folk by W.E.B. DuBois. This book is basically about how black identity has changed in the past years. Also in talks about how black identity is still the same as it was when the first slaves came over from Africa. DuBois tells us how the ten thousand thousand of black people have tried to show what the emancipation meant to them.
