The physical journeys you and I take are depicted in a variety of forms and mediums and for different reasons, thus affecting the concept of the journey to us.

Physical journeys can be separated into three stages:

-The expectation e.g. planning to travel to Europe

  • The physical journey itself
  • And the consequences as a result of engaging in movement
Texts such as recounts of a physical journey enhance our understanding and concept of journeys. Techniques such as symbolism, dialogue, imagery and irony exercised by a composer encourage our process of learning.
