There may be hundreds of answers to that question, however there seems to be one that is particularly worrisome for Canadians today; the answer is thousands of Canada's most talented young minds! The term brain drain refers to the many highly skilled workers ranging in fields from health care to information technology, who are leaving Canada to pursue their careers. The reason for much of this migration is due to workers seeking higher salaries, lower taxes, better working conditions and more job opportunities. However, it is not only graduates who are leaving our country to pursue better opportunities. Entrepreneurs and entire corporations are also leaving Canada as they are discouraged by excessive taxation.
