Due to media exposure, it shows that a persons age is of great significance in today's youth orientated society. Because of this exposure it seems that the elderly of this society are usually not catered for. Examples of the imagery that the elderly aren't catered for are shown through normal day to day life activities like employment, appearance and their value to society.

The issue about the elderly getting sacked more easily or not even being able to get into the workforce has risen because our society believes that the productivity and speed of the elderly working is assumed to be too slow and too old. Because of this statement, a lot of the jobs that are offered are now usually aimed at the younger or the younger are more readily accepted.
