Summary: Essay provides a discussion of crime in Canada.
We today as a Canadian society are more informed about American crime, rather than Canadian crime. The quiz that we took showed results proving this. Many people failed the Canadian crime quiz, because of their limited knowledge of crime in Canada. Their perception of crime is based on American statistics because we are bombarded with images from American media. When a Canadian citizen turns on their television, they see American made programming. Some examples are Law and Order, CSI, and sixty Minutes. Even commercials we see on television are American produced. Very little of what we view on television is made in Canada.

The United States has higher profile crimes. They have more gangs, cults and ethnic groups which leads to more conflict. The United States is more populated than Canada, making crime more likely to happen in all areas of the states. Most Hollywood murder films are...
