Summary: Essay consists of a summary of the book "Ramones: An American Band."
Ramones: An American Band Is a great book .It tells the story of one of my favorite bands The Ramones. They went through three drummers and two bass players in their Twenty plus years as a group. The first four guys in the band were Jeffrey Hyman/Joey, John Cummings/Johnny, Tom Erdelyi/Tommy, and Douglas Colvin/Dee Dee. They were all born and raised in Forest hills, a middle class suburb of Queens, New York.

Johnny and Dee Dee met working a construction job on Broadway and decided to start a band. They found a drummer in Joey and a manager in Tommy. Soon after their first show Joey became vocals and Tommy picked up the drums. They became The Ramones they all adopted the last name Ramone. Their first shows were at CBGB's the initials stood for country, bluegrass, and blues.They played hard fast music...
