Summary: This is about the United States' occupation of Iraq and how it needs to end.

The United States has occupied Iraq for the past twelve months. Within that time the U.S. has overthrown the previous regime of Saddam Hussein and is currently attempting to ascertain a working, thriving democracy that mimics that of the United States. The idea of, "if it works here it will work there" is typical of the United States when it comes to rebuilding a nation. However the United States has failed to give Iraq a chance to, on its own, fulfill its potential. This is where the problem lies. The U.S. needs to give Iraq the option of running on its own. I'm not saying we need to step out completely but I think that the time is right for the United States to step back and give Iraq a chance to show the world its capabilities. Iraq has been able to thrive on its own...
