Zero Tolerance Policies in High Schools

Summary: It is a persuasive paper about how there should be zero tolerance policies in high schools.
There is a young man involved with violence, drugs, and alcohol. He is not in any sports, and he has not joined any after school activities. Everyday at school and at home, he smokes pot. Up until now he hasn't been severely punished for having weed in school. The school then adopts a zero tolerance policy. His teachers find marijuana on him, and he is immediately expelled by the school. The student is irate, and doesn't think he deserves the expulsion. Although some students may disagree with it, a zero tolerance policy, for drugs and alcohol, should definitely be in effect at all high schools.
