Summary: Essay discusses the book "The Giver" as well as what is good or positive about that society.
The community in the Giver is more successful than our own society. One reason why the community is more successful than our own society is 0because of the fact that there is no pain or feelings. This community is ultimately based on giving back to the community. If a community member is not contributing to the community than they are given a peaceful death with euthanasia not even knowing a thing, or even what death is. At the end of a long life of contributing the community member is then given a reward of living in the house of the old. All of these factors contribute to the success of this community over ours.
