Government Role in Market Place
Summary: How involved should our government be in the market place?
Throughout the world, different markets have different levels of government involvement. Some governments have command markets, which means that their markets are completely controlled by the government. There are also laze faire markets, which lack any government intervention. In my opinion, I feel that that the United States government should have a slightly "left of neutral" role in the market. This is because I feel that if the government has too much intervention in the markets, it will fail the purpose of having a free market economy. By having a slightly "left of neutral" position, it allows the markets to operate freely without worrying about government control. At the same time, the markets aren't totally capitalist and have some regulations.
