Summary: Essay describes how the Hardy family hunts for gold in one of the epic novels about the Hardy Boys.
In the beginning of the book, the Hardy Family hears that Fenton, the dad was on a trip to Montana. Frank and Joe are extremely jealous but they have to head to an ice rink to meet up with their friends. After they meet up with their friends they head down to a frozen pound to skate. It began to snow but they didn't realize until it turned into a blizzard. They realized they had to head to safety. They found a cave they could hide in until the storm was over.

They heard a big crash and then the wind really picked up, they couldn't even see. When the wind slowed down a little they saw a cabin that they never knew existed. It was blown off the cliff by the wind! They heard a small "help" so they investigated the cabin. They found a small man...
