Judgement

Summary: Essay offers a short piece on judgement.
I used to have the horrible habit of excessively judging people before I even had the chance to get to know them. Hell, I still judge every now and then even though I try my hardest not to. But one time I met this girl and I just looked and her and was thinking she was a snob just by her body language. Then when I started talking to her the tone of her voice and the attitude she had made me think she was all the more of a snob and even a bitch. Some time passed and my friend started dating her and through hanging out with him and her I learned that she wasn't all that bad and she was just having a bad day that day and she actually was a really nice person. Actually after really getting to know her I found that she would have been a girl that I really would have liked dating, but I lost my only chance when I passed judgment on her after one bad experience with her. Now I do agree with Mother Teresa when she states "If you judge people, you have no time to love them."

I was brought up to believe this way by my parents and my grand parents. My family being Christians has always told me not to judge a book by its cover. They tell me I should read the book or get to now the person before I judge them. I used to make fun of people who dyed their hair and a few years ago I completely dyed my hair blond and even every now then I still put blond tips into my hair well, when I have hair. So I started doing something in which I looked down on people for. I think this is one of the greatest lessons I have been ever been taught actually I should say been told because I haven't yet completely learned this lesson.
