DISCUSSION AND INTERPRETATION

With my fieldwork and literary reviews I'm attempting to find evidence that living in a society of fear increases the amount of gun violence in a society, because our paranoia and mistrust of one another causes the assumption that we are in danger from each other and need to protect ourselves with guns. Looking at my results, I have noticed that more themes can be discussed so as to add detail and complexity to my topic. These themes will be discussed and explored in my interpretation. These themes are: the basic need for protection, the exposure to violence and how it affects us as a society, storing guns within the family, and today's licensed hunters.
