Summary: Compares and contrasts the poem, Daffodils by William Wordsworth and Miracle on St David's Day by Gillian Clark. Describes how there is a sense of great loneliness and sadness in both poems, but each is very different in the way they set this mood.
We read two very contrasting poems by William Wordsworth ` Daffodils' which was written in pre 1900 and Gillian Clark Miracle on st David's day, which was written in the 20th centaury, but strangely enough Gillian Clark ` Miracle on St David's day' was actually inspired by William Wordsworth's poem `The Daffodils'.

Wordsworth born in 1700 in the Lake District was one of the most famous English poets and was also was part of the Romantic Movement. Wordswoth past away in 1850. In contrast Gillian Clark who wrote `Miracle on St David's day `is a modern Welsh woman poet. But oddly enough Gillian Clark was inspired by William Wordsworth poem `The Daffodils'
