At 93 million miles away from Earth, the Sun is the perfect distance for Earth to have life. Without it life on Earth could not exist. The Sun is a star, just like all the other billions of stars in the universe, and it is the center of our solar system. While it seems extremely bright to us here on Earth, it is a less than average star and is not very bright compared to others. It contains 99.8% of the mass in all of our solar system, yet there are other stars that would make the Sun look like a dwarf.
